Match report

A total of 75 by Accies' lads should have been respectable even with the usual five ducks recorded. Sadly the wheels fell off in the Hillhead innings when the batsmen started to take quick singles. The fielding was below the usual standard with poor throws and backing up [apart from Neil Cuthill who charged all over the field to cover]. It was a disappointing way in which to end a frustrating season.

Having said that I think most will have gained experience and will return next season all the better for it.

Needless to say winter training will concentrate on knowing where one's stumps are, playing the straight ball with a straight bat and not backing away to the leg side.

I enjoyed the matches immensely and I am pretty the lads did as well.
