New Year Quiz Night
Posted on Friday 23rd December 2005 by Fraser Murray
This year’s event will take place at the club, on the evening of Friday 6th January from 7.30pm (Bar open 7pm).
Bring a team or join one on the night, and tackle fast paced rounds of questions musical, visual and trivial, specially designed for all the family.
Big prizes on offer for the mightiest display of knowledge or for the luckiest guessers.
A fine spread of top quality food will be provided for all competitors.
Plus: goodies of all description and unwanted Christmas presents by the dozen up for grabs in the famous Accies’ draw.
What more could you want from an evening supporting your local sports club?
Tickets £5 in advance, £6 on the night.
All proceeds from this year's quiz night will go towards new kit bags and training equipment for the club's junior sides.
Please note that as in previous year to reduce costs no tickets will be sent out.
Winter Nets (Updated)
Posted on Saturday 17th December 2005 by Fraser Murray
As discussed at the Players' Meeting and at the AGM last month, we've hired the sportshall on the dates below to enable us to practice throughout the winter. These sessions are aimed primarily at those who will be playing for any of the saturday senior XIs next season. New members will be made very welcome, just turn up and join in or e-mail fraser@glasgowaccies.cc if you want some more information.
To cover the cost of hiring the Glasgow Academy sportshall (view map, external link) we're asking those coming to pay £30 in a single payment (£25 for students/u21s, £20 for juniors) - the more sessions you attend, the better value for money you'll get! Payment by cheque, made payable to GACC, is preferred.
On the Sundays where there are no nets, there's 5-a-side football - obviously numbers are restricted, so mail fraser@glasgowaccies.cc if you're interested.
