Double Awards Received

Posted on Wednesday 25th February 2004 by Colin Dawson

We are delighted to report two recent awards at New Anniesland!

Robert Cheape has been awarded Cricket Scotland's Groundsman of the Year trophy for his excellent work at New Anniesland since 1985. How many times have we come out to the Club and admired his work and that of his team of Alec and Garry? Well done guys!

Richard Andrew (20) has recently been awarded the "Young Volunteer of the Year" trophy by the Sports Council of Glasgow. He is a student of Physiology at Glasgow Uni but still manages to find time to manage Accies U15 cricket team as well as coach the Glasgow Development Group Under 13's.

Detailed articles (and mugshots) have been submitted for print in the forthcoming Accies Newsletter - a must read!!
