Summer Coaching Courses
Posted on by Fraser Murray
The Glasgow Academy is running coaching courses during the Easter holidays for any young and enthusiastic cricketer. The courses will be organised and delivered by Mr V Hariharan who is the cricket professional with the Academy during the summer and The Head coach at The Australian Sports Gateway's Cricket Academy in Australia.
The courses will take place at The Glasgow Academy. Several facilities will be used to provide the best possible environment for learning and developing cricket skills and knowledge. This will include our sportshall, which offers four high quality net areas and the option of splitting into three large open working areas, a smaller gym which provides an ideal venue for more intense technical work in small groups and a large astro-turf area.
The aim of the courses is to provide an exciting environment to learn, enjoy and develop cricketing skills under expert tuition. Boys and girls from all local schools are welcome to attend these courses. Also, both novice and experienced cricketers will find the courses equally valuable. All specialist equipment will be provided to use on the courses. The only requirement will be to wear appropriate cricket/leisure clothing and non-marking indoor trainers.
There are six different weeks for the courses, so hopefully there will be an opportunity for all those who want to attend to find a course at a suitable time.
Courses run from 9-11am.
Course 1
Monday 11th July - Friday 15th July
Course 2
Monday 18th July - Friday 22nd July
Course 3
Monday 25th July - Friday 29th July
Course 4
Monday 1st August - Friday 5th August
Course 5
Monday 15th August - Friday 19th August
Course 6
Monday 22nd August - Friday 26th August
Each course will cost £20 for the full week.
If you would like to attend these courses please complete the booking form enclosed with this letter and send it with your cheque (cheques payable to The Glasgow Academy) to the course Director Mr V.Hariharan at the school address.
For further details you may contact the school.

Well done Glasgow Academy
Posted on Saturday 11th June 2005 by Colin Dawson
Any team that scores 240 odd runs to win a match deserves praise. The fact that it was a school match is even more deserving. Well done lads!
