Summer coaching courses 2015
Posted on Thursday 11th June 2015 by Fraser Murray
The Glasgow Academy is running coaching courses during the Summer holidays for any
young and enthusiastic cricketer. The courses will be organised and delivered by Mr Vedam
Hariharan who is the cricket professional with the Academy during the summer and who also
coaches in India and Australia in the winter months.
The courses will take place at The Glasgow Academy sports hall. Several facilities will be
used to provide the best possible environment for learning and developing cricket skills and
knowledge.
The aim of the courses is to provide an exciting environment to learn, enjoy and develop
cricketing skills under expert tuition. Boys and girls from all local schools are welcome to
attend these courses. Both novice and experienced cricketers will find the courses valuable.
All specialist equipment will be provided to use on the courses. The only requirement will be
to wear appropriate cricket/leisure clothing and non-marking indoor trainers.

New Player Registration
Posted on Wednesday 3rd June 2015 by Neil Dowers
If you are a new player and would like to play this weekend, you will have to be registered with the WDCU. Please therefore fill out this registration form (external link) and return a signed, scanned copy to player_registration@glasgowaccies.cc along with a clear photograph of your face in JPEG format (one taken with a smartphone standing against a neutral background is fine).
Please note that if you are under 18 (that is, you were 17 or younger on 1 September 2014), you will not have to provide a photograph.
If you are transferring from another club outside the WDCU or ESCA, you will have someone from your former club fill out part of the form. This is probably best done by scans and emails, given your former club is likely quite far away.
Please also pass the completed form to a club captain or committee member as soon as possible.
