Easter Coaching Courses
Posted on by Fraser Murray
The Glasgow Academy is again running coaching courses during the Easter holidays for any young and enthusiastic cricketer. The courses will be organised and delivered by Mr Vedam Hariharan who is the cricket professional with the Academy during the summer, and a leading overseas coach in Australian and Indian Cricket Centres of Excellence.
The courses last for a week from Monday 12th - Friday 16th April 2010. There are two different times for the courses, so hopefully there will be an opportunity for all those who want to attend to find a course at a suitable time.
- Course 1 - Monday 12th April - Friday 16th April 8.30am - 10.30am
- Course 2 - Monday 12th April - Friday 16th April 10.45am - 12.45pm

Player Registration
Posted on Thursday 4th March 2010 by Fraser Murray
In 2010 the WDCU is introducing compulsory player registration. This means everybody will be registered in a spreadsheet and is intended to prevent players from playing for multiple clubs as has been a problem in the past.
Everyone who may want to play senior cricket next year at any level, including juniors, must fill out one of the WDCU registration forms by the deadline of Friday 12 March 2010. In addition, players over the age of 18 at the start of the season must provide a headshot photograph in jpeg format.
Come to the arranged player meeting on Friday 12th March at the clubhouse (upstairs bar) where we will have a supply of forms to fill out, and will be taking photographs with a view to putting player registration to bed. The meeting will take place between 7pm-10pm and the bar will be open, so feel free to pop in for a few drinks.
To return the forms electronically, print out and fill in the form, then scan the completed form and return to Neil Dowers at player_registration@glasgowaccies.cc before the deadline (together with a photograph if you are over 18). Please save your photograph with the filename: LASTNAME FIRSTNAME.JPG (eg: DOWERS NEIL.JPG) and your form as LASTNAME FIRSTNAME PRF.JPG (eg: DOWERS NEIL PRF.JPG).
For details of returning the form by snail mail, please contact Neil at the above e-mail address for instructions.
Glasgow Accies Cricket Club Clothing for 2010
Posted on Tuesday 2nd March 2010 by Fraser Murray
Glasgow Accies CC playing and leisure kit are now available to order. The club has secured some excellent prices and would encourage all members to purchase at least one shirt and cap each.
Order forms can now be downloaded using the link below. Forms should be returned directly to Laura Williamson at Scoreboard Sports, and not to the Cricket Club.
Scoreboard Sports will collate the orders and deliver them to the club - they will be available for pick-up at training/matches by those that have no outstanding membership fee or levy.
Download the price list and cricket clothing order form (1.4Mb, pdf)
Some old and discounted stock may be available at the meeting on Friday 12th. This will be on a cash only and first-come, first-served basis. The same membership fees/levy rule applies.
Details of the pure wool cricket sweaters should be available shortly.
