Cricket Section Annual Dinner/Awards Night - Friday, 1 November 2013
Posted on Thursday 10th October 2013 by Colin Dawson
Please make an effort to diarise and attend our glorious end-of-season extravaganza. Good food, good chat and magnificent awards for those lucky people who had an extraordinarily good season in 2013!
The dinner is open to any senior member, wives, partners, any junior member, their parents and friends who would like to come along. We would ask that rotten eggs and/or tomatoes are not thrown at unfortunates during the evening's proceedings! As usual the evening is for family gathering and socialising.
It's 7pm for 7.30pm, dress smart/casual and will take place in the Clubhouse at New Anniesland. The anticipated adult menu [subject to variation] is:
Roasted red pepper and tomato soup
Confit of chicken supreme, roasted garlic chive mash, fine beans, carrots with wild mushroom and tarragon fricassee
Chocolate mousse, Chantilly cream, fresh Raspberries
Veggie Option for main course
Roasted Mediterranean veg and brie Parcel, roquette salad and hollandaise sauce.
As last year we are also offering a Kids' Menu for the younger diners and is along the lines of:
Tomato soup, chicken dippers, jelly and ice-cream
Please reply to Neil Dowers [ neiladowers@googlemail.com ] in the "CC" box above as soon as possible with your bookings for places detailing names and which menu desired for each and indicating if veggie option is required.
Prices are the same as last year:
Full adult £ 20.00
Half adult £ 10.00
Kids' menu £ 5.00
If anyone wishes to pay in advance of the event please contact Colin Dawson for details. Payment can also be made on the night.
Some 60 people of all ages attended last year's event and we would like to beat that this year. Please support us. We shall be holding the usual raffle and any donations of prizes will be most welcome.
Regards,
Colin Dawson
