Hat Trick Mania!

Tonight's U13 match against Hillhead produced an amazing turn of events at New Anniesland. First was George Clark's hat trick aided by catches by Connor McIntter and Sam Page with the third victim clean bowled.

Oscar Mitchell enquires "what happens if two hat tricks are recorded in the same match?" Dobs replies "don't know it's never happened before and it's a pretty unusual event to get one let alone two!"

No sooner said than done as Hillhead crumbled to some excellent bowling by all the Accies youngsters. Finally Connor McInteer got his chance as the tenth bowler of the innings. All he needed was four balls - dot, wicket, wicket, wicket to end the match and amazingly the second hat trick of the innings.

Can anyone say if two hat tricks have been recorded in the same innings before? I shall be very interested to hear from budding statisticians.

With Corrie Dick previously having achieved the same feat it looks like being a busy [and expensive] end of season dinner on 15 September and we're only half way through the season!
