Senior Player Levy

Accies members pay annual subscriptions as well as a player levy, known at other clubs as match fees.

The annual subscriptions are paid directly to Glasgow Academicals Sports Club, the overarching club for cricket as well as other sports such as rugby and hockey.

The subs covers costs for things like pitch use, maintenance and changing room facilities.

The Accies Cricket Club doesn't receive a penny from the subs which is why it is obliged to raise money through activities such as social events, bonus ball and the player levy.

All funds raised go towards the club's operating costs, equipment and training facilities.

The player levy also provides a convenient method of payment so that captains don't have to hassle their players for match fees.

In addition your 2009 levy will entitle you to free entry to the quiz and race nights in 2010.

The player levy is an extra expense on top of the annual subs but the subs and levy combined are still cheaper when compared to the cost of membership at other cricket clubs.

The player levy for 2009 is £60 for seniors, £40 for students and unwaged, and £15 for juniors.

Both subscription and levy should be paid no later than 31st May 2009 - if you don't pay you won't be selected to play!

To make paying the Senior/Student player levy more convenient this year we will have the option of paying by standing order.

This will allow you to set up four monthly payments to cover your player levy for 2009 which will entitle you to free entry to the quiz and race nights in 2010.

The same convenient method of payment is available for the club's bonus ball competition.

Senior Mebership Forms and Player Levy Standing Order Forms will be distributed shortly.
