BIOG

Based in Glasgow, teen drum whiz Corrie is relocating to London in September where he will commence studies at Trinity College of Music on it’s BMus Jazz course. Having reached the final of the BBC Radio Scotland Young Jazz Musician of the Year 2009 he was granted funding and resources to record his original music for Sextet.

Here he leads a quintet of frequent collaborators; some of Scotland’s most inspired young improvisers including the prodigious Ru Pattison who will be joining Corrie in London, Allan Young whose Scofield-esque guitar chops are unparalleled on the young Scottish jazz scene, the frighteningly gifted Pete Johnstone and the consistently selfless and tactful Sean Pentland who is making the trip from Berlin especially.
