Match report

Player Ratings

H Safi - 6.5

Right Arm Medium. Unlucky not to get a wicket as he produced the edge on numerous occassions. Opened the batting but couldn't make the most of the opportunity.

N Ganapathi - 8

Bowled Right Arm Medium Fast instead of the usual Left Arm Orthodox as Club Captain Richard Andrew watched from the boundary. Most economical bowler of the day. Had a shocker in the field but this was acceptable as it was after his birthday night out. Batted sensibly for a change which frustrated his teammates who all wanted a Boom Boom innings.

K Moir - 8.5

Bowled Right Arm Medium Fast instead of Right Arm Off Spin. Had the batsmen backing away with his 'Toes and Nose' approach. Smashed the very young attack for 55 crossbat runs off roughly 30 balls. Retired on the captain's orders before the opposition phoned ChildLine. Needs to bring Robyn to an Accies game.

N Majhu - 6.5

Started off keeping before swapping with Myles after 10 overs. Got excited when he was called on to bowl. Bowled a mixture of RA Off Spin and Dibbly Dobblies. "I've forgotten how to hold a bat" sums up his batting at the moment.

J McCamley-Wilding - 8.5

Very good senior debut for the 13 year old. Bowled wicket to wicket. Varied his flight and pace. Smart bowler. Absolute panther in the field. Looked assured at the crease before getting out to a stunning one handed catch at Cover. Future 1st teamer.

J Oliver - 9

Man of the Match performance from the second best player in his family (after Lolly). Opened the bowling with RA Offies. Kept wicket after the drinks break at 20 overs. Natural with the gloves. Took two incredible stumpings. D Holloway has competiton to retain his place in the 1st XI. Batted superbly to see the team home.

A Khan - 7

Bowled really good Left Arm Orthodox in tandem with Jolly. Would have got a higher rating if it wasn't for his lack of awareness. Stood miles outside the crease to the slow bowlers without realising and was therefore a stumping candidate if he missed any balls. During an over change, he was told by the square leg umpire how far out his crease he was batting. Proceeded to get stumped next ball after missing the ball playing a forward defence.

R Russell - 8

Taken out the attack for getting too many wickets bowling RA Off Spin. Nae ticker to see the team home. Got out after hitting a beautiful Cover Drive for 4.

M Shields - 6.5

Myles 'Yung Moni' $hields. Fielded at slip and missed a couple of catches. Kept well for 10 overs. Bowled RA Offies which looked suspiciously like his normal bowling from a reduced run up. Didn't get the chance to bat long enough to make an impact.

P Ferretti - 7.5

Bowled Off Spin ex 1st XI skipper Nigel Campbell would have been proud of. Tossed the ball up regularly inviting the batsmen to try and hit over Mid Off/On which they couldn't do. Volunteered to bat 10. Scored for the duration of the GACC Dev XI innings.
