Match report

Accies midweek team travelled to Titwood on a fairly nice evening to play their league game against Clydesdale. We had only 10 players due to Ramadan & other commitments but many thanks to youngsters for their availability otherwise we might have to concede the game. Clydesdale also fielded a young team.

Accies won the toss & decided to bat first on a green & bouncy pitch. Both openers batted well with a combination of aggresion & responsibility which gave us a very good platform but Ronnie got out in 14th over at 112/1. Dave continued with his new Avatar with a brilliant strike rate of over 113 & also played some wristy shots. Ronnie started slowly but then took over Dave quickly with couple of straight sixes. We didn't capitalise on & only manage to score 24 runs in last 6 overs due to very good line & length bowled by Ahmad & Shinwari. Boys played selfless cricket & was trying to hit every single ball which was good to see.

Clydesdale chased down the target in 11.3 overs as some of our frontline bowlers struggle to keep it tight except Mark who bowled a very good line & length. Need to work on our line as we gave 15 wides & got only 4 when we batted. It was a good experience for Qasim, Hamza & Prabhmeet who bowled well even the batsmen were going hard on them. Fielding standard was mix but must mention superb efforts from Safi, Qasim, Hamza & Prabhmeet. Dave was best behind the wicket as always. Best of luck for the next game.
