Match report

Brief pre-match team talk by team coach [yours truly].  "OK guys - you are going to play the game of your lives - no run outs, no wides play straight and get lots of runs. Smash the opposition and get yourselves a win for a change!"

Five run outs later plus another ten wickets gave us our highest wicket loss for the season.  A total of sixty six wides was the second highest of the season and only 13 runs from the bat!

Never mind - the lads wre totally unphased by it all and seemed to have had a wonderful evening's entertainment with their mates.  Team coach may have been somewhat bewildered by it all.

One or two pluses though!  Alastair McLeod, playing in his first ever hard ball match, scored 2 not out and was one of only two players to achieve positive runs status whilst Harry Donaghy continues to improve his bowling and is an example to others as to what one can do in the face of adversity.
