Match report

Unfortunately for the Accies' youngsters they came up against West, the league leaders.  They proved to be well worthy of their status being well drilled and extremely competent in all arts of the game.  Their batting technique and running between the wickets was excellent, their fielding sharp and their bowling just spot on.  124 for 2 [nett 114] with a massive 93 runs actually from the bat.

With Accies' reply stuttering immediately to 0 for 3 after a mere four overs this was always going to be an uphill struggle with only Vani and latterly Percival and Drew Cameron showing any resistance.  41 for 8 [nett 1] with only 26 from the bat.

This concludes the U11 campaign for this season.  I am sure that the lads enjoyed their season, will gain from their experiences and come to next season full of that horrible word "positivity" that seems to be all the rage these days!

I'm sure all the boys will want to thank Jameel Gardee for his team management and all the other coaches and parents that have contributed so much in what literally must have been the wettest and most frustrating season I can remember.
