Match report

Another loss to a much older team, but this very young Accies side were much improved from last week especially in the field.

Fraser McDonald making his debut as Captain, skippered the side admirably and top scored with 9 not out. He handled his duties well making sure the boys were walking in, backing up throws and diving around to prevent runs. However, we are still trying to field using our feet at times which is an element to work on at training on Sunday.

Unfortunately too many wickets were lost whilst batting and the key to doing well in this format of the game is not losing wickets and hence runs. Our youngsters also need to learn to hit with power, but this will come as they grow physically.

I was very impressed again with the boys positive attitude and am sure that the first victory of the season is around the corner!

(A special thank you goes to young Tristan Clarke who stepped up at age 7 and did well to fill in for a couple of late call offs and no shows that meant we only had 8 players.) Keep up the good work lads!!
