Match report

VICTORY. Yes you read that correctly, after a couple of consecutive losses on the trot, we managed to pick up our second win of the season. How sweet it tastes! Remember that feeling boys, because if you play to your potential, and using your heads, we are more than capable of causing teams trouble.

We lost the toss, were put into field and debutant Captain Calum Herbert marshalled his troops very well. An on fire Fraser Macdonald ripped through their openers with his pace bowling to begin with and an in form H. Irfaan picked up another couple of wickets too with his tight line and accuracy. The rest of the team played their part, but again, wides nearly cost us in the end.

The Accies youngsters chased down the score (all be it with some crazy run outs as usual thrown in ) and by the time boy wonder Lewis Oliver came in with batting partner Lucas Pierotti, all they had to do was play straight and bring the team home which they promptly did.

An injured Brendan Clark accompanied the team to learn the art of scoring, and I feel that this part of the game should be learned by those unable to play if possible. Thanks to Brendan for his support too.

Well done lads, long may it continue!
