Match report

Accies produced an excellent all round performance in the New Anniesland sunshine with a convincing 117 run victory against a West/Hillhead combined team. Accies were better in all departments;bowling, batting and fielding than their near neighbours. Paterson top scored with 38, Fahd scored an impressive unbeaten 20 and Shaik 18, all three enjoying the short leg side boundary with a plentiful supply of fours and sixes. In the field, the opening bowlers Gardee and Shabbir showed how formidable an opening pair they are going to be in this league with a lovely display of line and length. Shabbir returned figures of 5 for 16 and Paterson "polished off the tail" with an impressive return of 8 for 16 from his 4 overs.

A special mention must also go to the four younger members of the team who are still playing under 11 cricket.
