Match report

Finally we got to start our season after 2 weeks of horrible weather saw our first two fixtures postponed. West won the toss and elected to bat. Through good bowling we restricted them to 65/3 of their 20 overs.

In reply our lads managed to chase the total down in 11.1 overs, with McCamley-Wilding and Oliver our two openers, scoring the bulk of the runs.

One thing that struck me was how well we played to exert pressure on the opposition, both when fielding and batting. Stopping them scoring runs led to some rash shots from their batsmen and in return, not giving cheap wickets away together with keeping the scoreboard ticking and rotating the strike allowed our batsmen to have a comfortable evening.
