Glasgow Accies U15 v Renfrew U15 (26/08/11) scorecard

One might ask how Accies could be 13 for no wicket after the first ball of the match and then succumb to 34 all out.  Quite simple really - first ball, a no ball, was hit for 4 and the second ball, also a no ball, was hit for 6. The first legitimate ball was stroked for a single - total 13.  That however was the end of any excitement in their innings.  The Irfan twins decided that the game was off having turned up 15 minutes before meeting time and found no one there and left!!  The remaining 9 then found that they could not play a straight ball and were routed.

It only took Renfrew just over 6 overs to knock off the required runs.  The only fortunate thing about the evening was that there was any play at all considering that I had been watching a magnificent display of lightning bolts being thrown by Thor to the south of the ground from about 3.30pm.  Only a light rain shower at New Anniesland though.
