Match report

This was a friendly match because of a blank evening in the league programme.

Agreed 3 over maximum per bowler and batsman to retire at 30 (only their opening bat did this and we let him bat again when ninth wicket fell).

We had 9 but Hillhead gave us a player and 2 fielders as Euan MacDonald due to school commitment could only make second innings.
John captain.  Ruairidh Keeley again kept very well.
Bowling - all good as you will see from the figures.  Habib bowled superbly at a time when Hillhead were scoring freely and will be a great asset to the team. His casual catch of a rocket shot from their number 10 at deep mid on confirmed his overall cricket ability.  Great to see those that have not bowled or bowled much take their opportunity.  Every player could have bowled the maximum allotment.
Fielding - excellent including the Hillhead subs (one direct run out hit !)
Batting - looked like we had too slow a start but then we accelerated the innings and were coping with scoring the then required 6 an over. Going aerial meant we lost 2 key batsmen and despite Animesh hitting a boundary with the penultimate ball we lost by 3 runs.
Best overall performance of the season.
