Match report

A breezy third wicket stand of 38 between Oliver and Russell gave a hint of a potential 120 + total but when Oliver charged H Anwar to give his wicket away for 37 in the 16th over the final tally of 110 was a bit short of the mark especially with some of the "big names" in the Poloc batting line-up.  Poloc had gifted Accies 24 wides so the pre-fielding chat was "don't give Poloc any wides and the total could be defendable!"

The game was won by Poloc before the first wicket fell with the Shah brothers scoring 40 and 46no respectively. Wides were again crucial with Khan gifting 7 and, unusually, Russell gifting a further 10, 8 of which came in his final over.  The pick of the bowlers was Macmillan who bowled his 2 overs for a measely 7 runs.

Keeley took a smart catch behind the stumps off Russell and Percival took the only other wicket to fall aided by a good catch by Russell, albeit almost misjudged.  Otherwise Poloc knocked off one's and two's, the former with worrying ease, to win convincingly by 8 wickets. Fielding generally was below par.

Things can only get better.
