Match report

An excellent team performance from a squad that in previous years would have crumbled under pressure! Playing with a level of maturity rarely seen in an Accies Junior team, they defeated a very good Poloc side. Captain Hamza Gardee won the toss and put Poloc in to bat on a sunny evening at Shawholm. Poloc got off to a flier with Uzair Shah and Sohaib Shah punishing the wayward balls of our openers. Hussein Mohsan made the breakthrough and after that a succession of wickets meant that we restricted Poloc to 91 all out.

In reply, Jack McCamley-Wilding and Andy Robinson played very diligently and professionally with the latter batting through to see us home with a fine 33 not out. Accies reached our total with 1.2 overs to spare. A fine victory getting our season on the road started well, with a tough match at home next week to Clydesdale.
