Match report

We started our Round 2 U15 Vitality cup match against Ferguslie with 1 player short. Put in to bat after losing the toss and losing the 1st wicket with the score on 9, Ekaansh and Shaan put in a partnership on 75 runs, before Shaan got runout for 18. Wickets started falling regularly with Ekaansh trying to hold one end before retiring at 51. Harry and Sebby put some resistance at the tail end scoring 12 and 14 respectively. We did not bat the overs and scored 158 of 18.4 overs.

Their openers started off well before Ekaansh took 2 wickets in consecutive deliveries and then got out their in form batsmen in the last delivery of his 4th over. Glasgow Accies then took regular wickets and won the game with Ferguslie finishing on 74 runs in 14.5 overs. Alex Lockhart finished with figures of 1.5 Overs 4 Runs and 3 wickets.
While we won this game easily, there are many areas that we need to work on to beat strong opposition in Quarter Finals. This has to be across Fielding, Batting, Running between the wickets and Bowling.
