Hillhead/West of Scotland U16 v Glasgow Accies U16 (14/08/23) scorecard

Hillhead West of Scotland Won the toss and elected to field first. They were playing 2 players short due to last minute dropouts. Murray and Ramsay opened the batting. Murray made a quick fire 34 of 21 smashing 4 boundaries which was hard to get because of thick outfield. Ramsay played an anchor role rotating strike. Murray and Ramsay departed with the score on 48  and 58 respectively. With the bowl not coming onto the bat it was difficult scoring runs. Nas 21 of 24, Ekaansh 22 of 28 and Sohrab 20 of 20 managed to get some runs nudging the ball and running hard to steal runs. While overall we were lucky to have been gifted 6 easy dropped catches stumpings from start to finish and gifting away some of our wickets, in the end we finished very well with 148 of 7.

Mikaeel got the breakthrough in the 1^st over followed by another one on the 3^rd over with Aditya bowling a tight spell from the other end. Opposition kept losing wickets at regular intervals, which included two good runouts. A direct hit from Ekaansh and a big throw by Sohrab `from Deep Mid- wicket straight to keepers’ gloves. Mikaeel was the pick of the bowlers and managed 2 wickets in 2 overs giving on 4 runs. Struan making his debut for U16 also managed to get 2 wickets. Aditya and Rahim shared a wicket each.
