Match report

On a bright sunny evening Glasgow Accies U16 won the toss and elected to field. Clydesdale were onto a flying start, scoring 45 off the first 5 overs. Rahim then got a breakthrough, getting 2 in 2 deliveries off his 1st over. Bowlers were then able slow down the run rate, restricting Clydesdale to a challenging, but achievable score of 132 for 7. Vivek managed a splendid stump to stump spell of 2 for 2 of 2 overs.

Fielding was not upto the mark and we gave away a few runs. Bug Sohrab did manage a run out with a direct hit.

Mustafa and Nas opened the batting and were going along well with a 50 partnership before Mustafa got out, with Ramsay soon following suit. Murray played 2nd fiddle, to Nas who retired to a well made 51. Murray then took charge and paced the innings. It was then down to 14 runs required off the last 2 overs, Murray managed 11 runs off the 2nd last over before getting out in 1st ball of the last over, scoring 36. In came Rahim and hit a towering six over deep square leg off the first ball, to seal the victory.

Well played and well deserved victory.
