Match report

Having won the toss Glasgow Accies elected to bat first. Glasgow Accies had difficulty playing against a strong Clydesdale bowling attack. While our opening order batsman collapsed to pace attack, our remaining batsmen got out to spin bowling. Only Saurab being able to reach double figure. We finished at 42 all out with 5.3 over to spare. But was good to see some confident defensive shots from the likes of Saurab, Jatin and Suleman.

Glasgow opening bowlers could not contain Clydesdale openers who started with 25 off the first 2 overs with Shaan taking the only wicket but being very costly on runs. Positive was Ekaansh doing well in his next 2 overs to giving only 2 runs in 2 overs. Clydesdale reached their target in 5.2 overs with the help of 9 wides and 3 no balls.

Learnings to take away from this game, team needs more practice to face fast and spin bowling. Batsmen need patience to stay there longer and waiting to score off bad balls. Bowlers should work on consistently bowling no more than 6 balls per over. We will face Clydesdale 2 more times in U16 league matches and would like to see a different result.
