Match report

Well that concludes a long season of ups and downs for the U18's.  Ali Crawford, Gregory Gardiner, Duncan Kelso and Tom Sutton all leave to join the senior ranks next season but a wealth of talent is waiting in the wings to grab their places.

As far as this match went it was a pity that Ramadhan clashed on the day curtailing the Renfrew team to just six players and preventing any finish later than 8pm.  A twelve over per side match was agreed to accommodate this although in the final analysis only half the allocation was required by either side with the Accies' lads prevailing.  It was also good to see Sam Page back in action after his late return from India.

I hope you guys all enjoyed your season and look forward to an unstoppable and triumphant march to the title next year.

I cannot end without thanking Neil Dowers for all his efforts in arranging, umpiring and in many cases also scoring for the team and we wish him well in Berlin next year.  The team was also fortunate to have had Ali Crawford [in the early part of the season] as captain and latterly Scott Young in his place being present virtually throughout - my thanks to both of you.  The overriding question is whether Robert will ever replace that window smashed by Ali's 6-hit way back when?
