Match report

With play being delayed by about an hour due to traffic problems, it was decided that the game would be reduced to 16 overs per side. Accies won the toss and decided to field first on the back of some very impressive bowling performances in the last couple of weeks. John Oliver bowled very well, finishing with 3-16 and Calum Hooper also impressed with the ball, taking his first Accies wicket. Unfortunately, 117 was always going to be difficult to chase with a weakened batting line up and a strong Ayr bowling attack. Accies battled to 73, of which John Oliver contributed 23. Ayr are a strong side and amongst the favourites to win the League this year, so the result is by no means disastrous. Onwards and upwards for the key games against Renfrew and Drumps!
