Match report

Well what a turnaround! Last week the lads contrived to lose 12 wickets but this week only the one - that immediately made a difference of 55 runs under U11 rules. Well batted lads - you may not have the batting power just yet but that doesn't really matter if you keep your wickets intact.

Admittedly Renfrew was a weaker side than that of Drumps last week but the Accies lads held their nerve with the bat whilst the fielding continued its merry way highlighted by another valiant attempt at a catch this time by Lewis Gilkison diving full length and just failing to grasp.

The bowling still needs some work although 21 yards is a long way for 9 year olds to have to hurl 4.75oz of leather/cork - it will come in time!

A good win and some other plus points - Daddy Forbes has just played against Gordonstoun for the MCC whilst 6 year old Tom Keeley caught the eye whilst batting with Mummy Keeley. On the turn round Mummy Keeley looked well capable also. Some stars for the future?

Looking forward to a wonderful bowling performance next week against Poloc who are due a deafeat by Accies!
