Match report

I'm not sure just how many palyers Weirs had for this match but I've only put 11 on the scorecard albeit that they put out 7 pairs! Accies had 8 players but fielded 9 to attempt proximity in numbers with 7 year old [almost 8] Robbie McCallum filling the breach for us and one to watch for the future.

As usual Mr Wides was top scorer for both sides but Weirs excelled with 84 of them compared with Accies' measely 56! Hamish Campbell top scored with 17no but like two weeks ago we only lost 4 wickets in the innings comapred with Weirs' 10 wickets including 4 run outs and 1 stumping. Seb Glen looks pretty streetwise and Lewis Gilkison continues his steady way with ball and bat.

It just seems that every second week the lads go off the rails with loads of wickets so I fear for the forthcoming match against Hillhead in two weeks' time. An overall winning margin of 55 runs was a fair reflection of the difference between the sides on the night and the large parental contingent went home happy as did their offspring and team manager.
