Match report

Batting first Accies managed to restrain the crashing of ash considerably over the previous week's effort with Thomas Aston top scoring with 8 not out.  Rick Mukhophadyay showed signs of technique by stroking a couple of cover drives, a real rarity in U11 cricket at Accies.  Overall however there is still a lack of firepower in the lineup.  Notwithstanding a better performance.

This was nearly undone in the field however.  East Kilbride scored only 6 runs from the bat but the Accies bowlers donated the opposition 54 runs in wides and a further 26 runs in no balls.  The pick of the bowlers were Ruairidh Russell with an excellent effort of 2 overs, 2 maidens, 3 wickets i.e. zilch runs closely supported by Thomas Aston with 3-2-4-2 and Gordon Stackhouse with 2-0-6-2.  That made a total of 10 runs conceded by these three and 73 by the remaining 6.
