Match report

Congratulations to the lads who pulled off another disciplined performance with bat and ball. A victory resulted and this U11 team has shown yet again what great potential they have.

Accies won the toss an elected to bat. With the emphasis on not losing your wicket and punishing the bad ball, the Accies lads stuck to their task, posting a good score with the loss of only 7 wickets. Notable big hitting came in the form of Adam McMurray who cracked a couple of huge 4s. Hamza Gardee and Brendan Clark again batted through their innings without losing their wickets so saving the Accies score from decreasing and putting pressure on the opposing bowlers to make something happen.

When it was our turn to Bowl the loss of Jamie and Drew (who couldn't make this match) was minimised by some tight, quick bowling from Thomas Divers, Rick M and Nicholas Rae. They ended up with a couple of wickets each as their just desserts. Rick M who captained the side today had some shrewed bowling changes at critical times and did well in his first match as captain this season.

All the boys contributed to a good victory and gives us a great chance to really do something this season -the West game looking like a real showdown in a few weeks time!
