Match report

A good way to end the season with a fine victory, albeit nail biting at the end to achieve it! This young Accies team have shown some promising improvement over the last few matches and they got their just deserts today.

Bowling wise the number of wides bowled has decreased and the fielding has been much sharper.

Batting has proved that we can stop throwing our wickets away and play smart cricket. We still have a tendancy to go for the suicide runout on occasion - just remember lads : if you hit the ball it doesnt mean that you have to run! I'm sure this will improve as they progress to next season a year older and wiser!

Todays match saw some notable performances with the bat - take a bow Lewis Oliver, Good captaincy by Cameron Rome -a 100% victory record and savvy batting under pressure at the death by Fraser Mcallister and Hamza Gardee to see out the final overs in the lead and without giving their wickets away. However, the whole team contributed to a good TEAM result.

Sadly the summer has proved to be a bit of a damp squib, so we will all be praying for better weather next season with more games to play.

Many thanks again to all the parents who helped out, to Colin Dawson the Rock around which the Accies Cricket section is built and to all the players who played. I'm sure that we will move onwards and upwards in 2013.
