Match report

It's getting better!  Only 2 wickets lost this week and also only 12 wides.  The no balls all came from our U8 new recruit, Hamish Aspinall, from down under [NZ but actually from Jordanhill].  He bowls left arm quick and three of the no balls were for front foot offences.  He also top scored with the bat, can field and throw.  One to watch!

The batsmen are beginning to learn how not to give away their wicket and the bowling is also improving for line and length.  Only one run out this week!  He tends not to get many mentions in dispatches but Ethan Duncanson-Ward was my pick of the week.  He is quiet, unassuming and does all the right things and he was rewarded with a 3-for.

The only criticism this week was the amount of chat in the field [2 in particular] when the bowler was on his run up but overall I am pleased with the way the team is moving.  Considering that there were 13 unavailable for this match "the boys done well!"
