Match report

First cars arrived at Renfrew in gun time at 5.25pm but the match didn't start until 7pm [reduced to 15 overs per side] due to lack of keys to home kit store.

Accies, put in to bat, scored quickly via Lewis Oliver and Lucas Pierotti but there were several near run outs with balls hit straight to Renfrew's best fielder.  15 for 3, net zero.

The two newcomers, Ethan Duncanson-Ward and Harrison Wilson, came in as next pair losing only the one wicket. 9 for 1, net +4.

Skipper Finn Herbert and Sambhav Chada were the next pairing with Finn taking control and running quickly. 17 for 0, net +17.

Imran Mohammed and Tristan Clark came in as the fourth pairing but unfortunately lost a couple of wickets, bowled. 3 for 2, net -7.

The final pairing of Bilal Zahid and Arman Tyagi scored well but again lost a couple of wickets. 15 for 2, net +5.

Total net score of +19 for the innings but could have been better but for two run outs and just missing straight balls.

In Renfrew's innings Accies were always in control until the final pairing came to the crease at a net -2 score on the board. Needing 22 without loss the Renfrew boys quickly accumulated the first 13 runs with 9 balls remaining but then Bilal struck and the game was back for Accies. An exciting match for both sides.

The bowling overall was pretty good with Bilal and Ethan amongst the wickets whilst the fielding was spirited throughout and boding well for the future. Finn was alert behind the stumps and looks a good all-round prospect.
