Match report

This was another learning experience for the young Accie lads.  Although the scorecard indicates a heavy loss it was in fact a victory by concession because Kelburne could not play the match without bringing a couple of over age players.  At least there was a game rather than a blank night so credit is due to the opposition for making the effort.

In true Accies' tradition young Oscar Johnston, age 8, offered to play for Kelburne as he was desperate to play his first game whilst Accies also offered two additional fielders to Kelburne. By this means a total of 17 lads had a game of cricket on a pleasant evening.

Both runs and wickets were hard to come by for Accies whilst Kelburne found both skills fairly easy.  Kelburne - 2 wickets lost; Accies 15 wickets lost!  Kelburne 5 wides; Accies 30 wides!

Debutant Saul McGlennan showed promise with the ball for Accies whilst Luca McGowan was the only player not to lose a wicket.

As substitutes do not show up on scorecards read the Kelburne bowling analysis for F Wright - this was actually our own Oscar Johnston who took his first league wicket, albeit for the opposition!!

It's Stenhousemuir at Larbert next week so it's an early leave - be prepared. There may be some team changes in order to give those who have not played recently another outing.  Watch this space!
