Match report

Photos of a monsooned New Anniesland circulated as the Accie lads were put in to bat by Uddingston. For the second week in a row our lads contrived not to lose wickets so something must be getting through to them by their coaches. Only 3 wickets down this week [only 2 last week].  The biggest difference this season is that there is more firepower to back that up applying equally to the younger members of the team - the future looks bright in that respect. The final score of 89 for 3, net 69, always looked competitive.

In the Uddingston innings there were wickets for Gardee [2], Shabbir and Shaik [1 each] plus a couple of run outs notably the one by Prescott who had the presence of mind to outrun the batsman and lift the bails.

Another all round solid performance and ground fielding on the whole was good again.

It's a home match against Ferguslie next week and this could be tougher opposition.
