Match report

On a glorious evening at Langloan the Accies lads had the best possible start with Nick Pyne caught behind from the first ball of the match.  As usual the batsman claimed he hadn't hit the ball but it was his father who gave him out and we all heard the nick [pardon the pun] from the clubhouse.  Nick later admitted to me that he had crashed the ball!  Unfortunate at U13 level or indeed at any level!

The lads thought they were on a good thing after 10 overs with Drumps at 59 for 5 but some extremely sensible batting together with much short leg side bowling meant it was the final over before the sixth wicket went down and the score had doubled proving far too many for Accies.

In reply what is it with twins? Same helmets, same shirts, same gloves, same pads and the same number of runs to their credit at 15 apiece!  In fact the only way of distinguishing between them was that Usmaan had a yellow bat grip whilst Fehzan had a black one and Fehzan took twice as long to get his runs.  Once they were out the required run rate had risen to 8 an over proving too much for the remaining lads.
