Match report

Not since our all conquering U18's way back in the early 90's have I seen a more accomplished all-round unit than this young West of Scotland side. All eight West batsmen that took guard had played rep cricket at U14 or U12 levels and all of them took heavy toll on any ball that was overpitched, short and even above waist height no-balls.

Sadly for Accies' young and comparatively inexperienced side the majority had to face a pace of bowling never encountered before.  Only Jamie Percival and Nick Rae had the fire power to offer any appreciable resistance to the onslaught but the experience will benefit everyone in the future.

This team will win some matches if the bowlers can cut out the wides and no-balls and the top order batsmen reach retiral number of 30 runs.  Unusually the no-balls cost more than the wides in this match.

On a positive note Cameron Rome's keeping is improving with each match.
