Match report

Crazy run outs at the top and bottom of our order cost us a chance of victory today together with long grass in the outfield due to Rugby season stopping a number of sure boundaries - so much for home field advantage!

A good Hillhead/Renfrew side bowled very well and we did well to come close, especially Hussain Mohsan who batted sensibly and with flair. As soon as his wicket was lost, so was the game.

In the first innings their batsmen who were a fair bit bigger than us punished the bad balls. The only performance of note being Hamza Gardee whos legspin brought 3 wickets and had their batters foxed and on the back foot for a while.

A season of highs and lows draws to a close, but the young lads have shown good promise for a better next season.
