Match report

The U13 bandwagon rolls on with another useful win, this time over a young Greenock side.

Two quick Greenock wickets fell to the bowling of Hussain Mohsan and Morgan Dalton but Wilson and Love then put on 40 for the next wicket.  Keeley, McDonald and McCamley-Wilding took a wicket apiece as the opposition innings closed on 65 for 5 from their allotted overs.

In Accies' reply McCamley-Wilding and Robinson made a brisk start scoring 22 from the first four overs of reply before Robinson misjudged a quick single and was run out.  Thereafter the scoring rate dropped as the incoming batsmen were unable to force the pace.  McCamley-Wilding continued solidly when he was on strike and eventually retired on 30 under the league rules.  However by that time he had seen the team through to a well earned victory.

As a post-note there will be matches in future when scoring rates need to be kept up throughout an innings.  Too many leg side balls which should have been put away were not and we can not afford needless run outs.
