Match report

Winning the toss and electing to bat first. Mustafa and Ramsay started off well gettings runs at ease. Though they were lucky not to get run-out after a terrible mixup with both of them in the middle of the pitch discussion and the ball fortunately being thrown wide off the keeper. They put on a solid paternership of 73 before Mustafa holed out to the bowler for 16 runs. The very next over Ramsay followed suit for a well made 40. Nas and Murray did not last long getting out for 12 and nought respectively. Rahim added some well needed runs in the middle order smashing 30 off just 11 balls with 2 four's and 3 sixes. Remaning batsmen chipped in with some valuable runs in the last 7 overs to take the score from 1174 to 1468.

Mikaeel opened the bowling and though wicketless finished with an impressive spell of 10 of 4 overs. Nas came as the first change and bowled 4 over finishing with a magic spell of 13 off 4 for 5 wickets. He was helped by Murray who got 2 stumpings. Ekaansh got two wicket including Peter Daniels who was looking dangerous on 32 off 25. Sourab claimed the other wicket. Glasgow accies won comfortably with Perth Docc'cot finishing on 118 for 8.

While bowling was good with only 5 wides given and a few catches being taken, our fielding did not look the best when it came to run-outs. I would count it at atleast 3-4 chances being missed. It was good to see Glasgow Accies claim the 3rd spot in the U16 Scottish cup. Good efforts put in by many to secure 3rd place on U16 scottish cup, lace including many of the U14's who time and again helped us in making up the team and contributing. So a big "THANK YOU" especially to U14 players and their parents.
