Glasgow Accies U16 v Uddingston (17/06/24) scorecard

Glasgow Accies won the toss and elected to bowl first. Ekaansh and Shaurya opened the bowling attack with Uddingston openers  scoring runs at an easy pace hitting the odd boundaries. They were 43 for 1 in 5 overs. Next change bowler Yashraj and Jatin put some brakes on their run rate and finished with a tidy spell of 10 runs for 1 wicket in 4 overs and 21 runs no wicket in 4 overs respectively. Another good spell came from Vivek finishing on 8 runs for 1 wicket in 2 overs. Fielding was not up to the mark with at-least 3 catches being dropped. A nearly missed run out which was nicely backed up by Shaurya who managed to complete the runout. Ramsay took a brilliant catch to dismiss their danger man. Score was expected to be around 110 but a flurry of runs in the last few overs meant Uddingston finished on 131.

Ramsay and Ekaansh opened the innings and we got a set back in the first over with Ekaansh returning to the pavilion. Sohrab and Ramsay steadied the innings with some big hitting and good running between wicket. Though they did try to get themselves run out twice. Sohrab got bowled trying to hit their spinner out of the park scoring well made 26 of 24. Shaan was next in and played an anchor role rotating strike with Ramsay going full throttle, scoring 4's and 6's. We reached our target in 13 overs with Ramsay scoring two 6's and one 4 off last 3 balls of the 13th over.
