Match report

Ferguslie won the toss and elected to field. Glasgow Accies opened the innings with Ramsay and Jatin. Ramsay was dismissed early in the 3rd over with the score on 9. Jatin and Shaan tried to steady the innings before Shaan got out in the 8th over with score on 30, quickly followed by Aditya.

In came Ekaansh at the end of the 10th over. He started with a flurry of 4's and then kept the score ticking throughout the innings. Jatin played well and was the next to depart scoring 21 of 43. Some of the other batsmen were not able to stay there long enough to support Ekaansh. Then came Oscar who played an important knock of 14 runs from 8 balls and supporting Ekaansh with quick running between the wickets. Ekaansh finished with a well-made 34 not out, off 29 balls. From our initial shaky slow start we managed to score 117, just 3 short of our initially anticipated target.

Ekaansh started the bowling attack getting their opener bowled with his first ball, unfortunately off a "No Ball". Yashraj got 1 wicket in his first spell of 2 overs while Ekaansh captured 2 wickets in his spell of 3 overs. Next change bowler Vivek got one more off his very first ball. Vivek and Shaurya bowled well in tandem to keep the score in checks and building pressure on the opposition batsmen. 18 runs were scored off the last over of the innings from Rayhan most of which were not off the bat. Glasgow Accies won comfortably with the opposition finishing on 88 for 8.

While everyone bowled well pick of the bowler was Ekaansh picking 3 wickets giving only 8 runs (off which 4 were wides and 1 no ball) off 4 overs.

One basic thing that we need to work on which has been consistent in all our matches is “WIDES”. We again bowled 30 wides which is 37.5% of the opposition's total. But it was good to see a Team effort with most of the Team chipping in with bat, ball or fielding. Want to see more of you'll for Sunday and Wednesday practice.
