Match report

A less than full strength Accies side perished at the hands of a young but competent Poloc bowling attack with B Choudry claiming 5-4-1-3! In spite of dour resistance from Graham Revie and some nice strokes from Nirvik Ganapathi a total of 65 was never going to be enough.

A total of 10 from Duncan Kelso's first over [all wides] set the Poloc lads off to a brisk start but then pegged back by some nice but unlucky bowling by Euan Crawford. The rains threatened and the scorers retreated speedily to the comparative comfort of the scorebox.

Duncan slowed his bowling a bit [perhaps unintentionally?] and found his length shattering the stumps in quick succession but the rains were still threatening. Perhaps that made Ali Crawford bring on Sahil Jaidka and the match was promptly concluded with 16 runs coming from his solitary over.

GHK may rue this next week and, hopefully, so will Ferguslie the following evening in the second round of the Frank Smith Trophy at Meikleriggs.
