Summer 2022

Please keep an eye on Facebook and Twitter for any updates/cancellations, and for juniors check with Colin Dawson's answering machine on the morning from 9.30am (0141 339 3217).

Senior Training

Outdoor sessions will begin in late April.

Everyone who wants to be playing senior cricket should attend training on Wednesday nights throughout the summer, at the club ground.  Practice sessions start at 18:30.

Junior Training

The Juniors train on Sunday mornings at the club ground from 10:30 until 12:15/12:30 (finish depending on afternoon matches and coach availability) and are well looked after by a team of English Cricket Board/Cricket Australia accredited coaches.

Older juniors (ie, U15s upwards, or anyone wanting to play senior cricket - if in doubt check with your team manager!) are strongly encouraged to join in with Senior as well as Junior training.

Winter 2021-2022

Cricket kit (bats/pads etc…) can be provided/borrowed on request in advance.  Tracksuit/t-shirts/shorts etc… and non-marking trainers please.

Sessions are open to all current and new members - charges to cover the cost of hiring the hall are included in the senior levy.

Please also note that food and drink are not allowed within the main hall and any rubbish must be placed in bins in the dressing rooms.

Junior Training

Sundays, 12:45-15:30

Junior Winter nets are held from January until the end of March in the Glasgow Academy Sports hall.

Sessions are free to all who wish to participate, unless you are attached to another club in the Glasgow area in which case a nominal charge of £5 per session will be made.

  • February 2022 - 27th
  • March - 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th

Please wear suitable attire (cricket whites not necessary but please use these if you have them) for indoor sessions - no black soled shoes allowed.

Please also note that food and drink are not allowed within the main hall and any rubbish must be placed in bins in the dressing rooms.

Kit will be available for younger players e.g bats, pads, gloves, abdo gurads, helmets etc if required.  You may bring your own equipment if you wish but it is your responsibility to take away after the close of a session.

Sessions will incorporate warm-ups, skills coaching, nets on occasions and an indoor game.

Please ensure that you arrive on time for 12:45 start and have transport available for close at 15:30.  It is always difficult to plan sessions when some arrive after 13:00 or later!
